Women’s History Month aims to commemorate and celebrate the vital role of women in history and provide inspiration for the future.

The books on display here have been chosen by staff in Lincs Inspire Libraries to reflect this.   

They tell the stories of inspirational women, some who made their mark in law, politics, science, literature and the arts and some who will never be famous but are nevertheless important.

As well as women's history these books tell of women’s place in the world - how it has been seen, the ways it is defined and how women have struggled and are still working to shape it to their talents, dreams and capabilities.
