2019 marks the 300th anniversary of the publication of Robinson Cruse and the BBC are marking this with a major festival. This will include a series on BBC 2 and the launch of a list of 100 novels which shaped our world.
The novels have been chosen by a panel of celebrities and promise to be an interesting and diverse list. Divided into ten categories, their choices are wide ranging and inclusive and feature children’s books, contemporary classics, graphic novels, rollicking reads and some books that have contributed to a significant cultural shift.
In partnership with the BBC; The Reading Agency; The Publishers Association, CILIP, the British Library and Libraries Connected, Lincs Inspire Libraries will be making these novels available at all of our branch libraries.
In April, we will be running a month of promotional events in Immingham in partnership with BBC Radio Humberside.
